COFFRET D'OR: Summer Edition + June 2, 2007

COFFRET D'OR finally unveils the Summer Collection! And my goodness is it cool and beautiful! Keiko looks stunning as usual and the CM even has a snazzy new theme song. Unfortunately, Keiko's personal commercial isn't up yet--I'm hoping it will come soon.

The new Summer Collection contains gorgeous jewel, sea, and coral toned colors that focus on accenting the face naturally and/or without using too much color. It's nice and VERY refreshing. Keiko's version is called, "Innocent Ladysh." She looks like a goddess, ne? Very regal.

From me to you (ladies): Anyone who is make-up prone (or not) take notice of how the purple eye shadow brings out the red undertones in her brown eyes. It's a common make-up trick! So ladies, if you have brown eyes hit up your nearest cosmetic stores and find a purple shadow set. It usually consists of a cream/ soft pink tone, a light violet tone, and a dark violet tone.

   TO GET THIS LOOK
: For your eyes, try Wet 'n' Wild eye shadow in "Venetian Violets" and follow application tips here. Make your eyes stand out with Maybelline 'Define -A- Line' eye liner in soft brown (or noir if you have darker skin) and finish it off with Wet 'n' Wild Mega Wink mascara in black. For your cheeks stick to a subtle tone. If you have Keiko's complexion you should try Wet 'n' Wild Silk Finish Blush in "Heather Silk" and follow application tips here. If you have darker skin, shift the tones down into the reds with a tone like "Mellow Wine". For your lips, again stick with a subtle tone, mainly one that matches the actual color of your lips. If you have Keiko's complexion try Wet 'n' Wild Diamond Brilliance lip gloss in "A Girls Best Friend." If you have darker skin, shift tones down into the purples with "Carats for Bunny" or "Tamara's Tiara." See application tips here.  Don't  worry, this make-up is decently priced (not too cheap, not too expensive) and lasts long. How do I know? I use it, silly! My skin is chocolate brown and my eyes are brown so I use this technique all the time. How exactly? For me: Wet 'n' Wild eye shadow in Lynx (an old shadow where if you wet your make-up brush and apply it, it makes the color bold and amazing. PERFECT for parties. too bad they don't sell it anymore....), Maybelline 'Define -A- Line' in noir, Wet 'n' Wild Mega Wink mascara in black, Wet 'n' Wild Silk Finish blush in "Mellow Wine," and since I don't like colored lip stuff---anything Co Bigelow Apothecaries: Mentha Lip Shine! ^_^
